Cefuroxime has strong antibacterial activity against almost all strains sensitive to cefotaxime and cefotaxime, and is effective against a wide range of gram-negative bacilli, including Enterobacter and indole positive proteus. The clinical and bacteriological effective rate of cefuroxime in the treatment of respiratory tract, five sense organs, bone, soft tissue infection, meningitis and simple urinary tract infection was 70% - 100%, and the prevention of postoperative infection was also satisfactory. Cefuroxime is very effective in the treatment of acute gonorrhea and urinary tract infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. 169 cases of gonorrhea were treated by intramuscular injection of cefuroxime at a single dose of 1.5g. The blister disappeared in 160 cases within 1-5 days after intramuscular injection. The cure rate was 97.7%. The short-term and long-term bacteriological cure rates of cefuroxime were 55% and 48% |
