Ampicillin sodium is a broad-spectrum semi synthetic penicillin, and Cloxacillin Sodium is an acid and enzyme resistant semi synthetic penicillin. This product has the characteristics of ampicillin sodium and Cloxacillin Sodium. It has broad-spectrum killing effect on Gram-positive bacteria and negative bacteria, and is effective against penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The combination of the two can strengthen each other and make up for the deficiency of their separate application.
Ampicillin has strong antibacterial effect on Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and non penicillinase Staphylococcus, which is similar to or slightly inferior to penicillin. Ampicillin also had a good antibacterial effect on Streptococcus viridis, and its effect on Enterococcus and Listeria was better than that of penicillin. Ampicillin sodium has antibacterial activity against Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis, actinomycetes, Haemophilus influenzae, Botrytis pertussis, Neisseria and anaerobic bacteria except Bacteroides fragilis. Some Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Shigella are sensitive to ampicillin sodium. Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus was not effective. Ampicillin has bactericidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
Cloxacillin has the characteristics of acid resistance and penicillinase resistance. It has antibacterial activity against gram-positive cocci and Neisseria. It has stronger antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus (including Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase negative Staphylococcus) than oxacillin, but it is weaker against penicillin sensitive Staphylococcus and various Streptococcus than penicillin, and it is resistant to methicillin Staphylococcus Invalid.
