Phenoxymethylpenicillin Potassium Tablet
1. This product is penicillin antibiotic. The antibacterial spectrum is the same as penicillin. It has antibacterial activity against most Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, some gram-negative bacilli (such as Haemophilus), spirochetes and actinomycetes. However, most Staphylococcus strains (> 90%) including Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase negative Staphylococcus can produce β - lactamase to hydrolyze the product and inactivate it.
2. The activity of this product against most sensitive strains was 2-5 times weaker than that of penicillin. It has no antibacterial effect on penicillinase producing strains. 3. The mechanism of action of this product is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall, and make the bacteria break and dissolve rapidly.
