Procaine Hydrochloride Injection
Procaine hydrochloride injection, local anesthetic. It is used for infiltration anesthesia, block anesthesia, lumbar anesthesia, epidural anesthesia and block therapy.
This product is an ester local anesthetic, which can temporarily block the conduction of nerve fibers and has anesthetic effect. It has weak penetration to skin and mucous membrane and is not suitable for surface anesthesia. The dispersibility and permeability of this product are poor. The binding form of its hydrochloride releases free alkali in the tissue and plays the role of local anesthesia. This product can inhibit the constant of central nervous system and excite excessively. First of all, it causes sedation, dizziness and pain threshold increase, and then causes vertigo, disorientation and ataxia. The central inhibition continues to deepen, resulting in dull consciousness and blurred consciousness, and then into coma. If the dosage continues to increase, poisoning symptoms such as muscle tremor, irritability and convulsion may occur. The small dose of this product can stimulate the sympathetic nerve, accelerate the heart rate, increase the blood pressure, and increase the dose. Due to myocardial inhibition, peripheral vasodilation, and slight blockage of ganglion, the blood pressure decreases and the heart rate increases. This product can inhibit the release of acetylcholine from presynaptic membrane, produce certain muscle nerve blockade, enhance the effect of non depolarizing muscle relaxants, directly inhibit smooth muscle, and relieve smooth muscle spasm.
