Oxacillin Sodium for Injection
Oxacillin sodium for injection is only suitable for the treatment of penicillinase producing Staphylococcus infection, including sepsis, endocarditis, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infection. It can also be used for mixed infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or pneumococcus and penicillin resistant Staphylococcus.
This product is resistant to acid and penicillin enzyme penicillin. The antibacterial activity of oxacillin against penicillinase producing Staphylococcus was better than that of penicillin G. Oxacillin plays a bactericidal role by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
