Product Description

Kanamycin Sulfate Injection

Kanamycin sulfate injection is suitable for the treatment of severe infections caused by sensitive Enterobacteriaceae, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, proteus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Shigella, etc., such as pneumonia, sepsis, abdominal infection, etc., and the latter two often need to be combined with other antibiotics.
Kanamycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It has good antibacterial effect on most Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, enterobacter, proteus, Shigella, Salmonella, Citrobacter, profeden, Yersinia, etc.; influenza, Brucella, meningococci, Neisseria are also sensitive to this product. Kanamycin also had certain effect on Staphylococcus (methicillin sensitive strain) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but had no effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Other Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Enterococcus and anaerobic bacteria were resistant to the drug. This product is mainly combined with bacterial ribosomal 30S subunit to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. In recent years, the number of drug-resistant strains increased significantly. Some bacteria lost their antibacterial activity due to the production of aminoglycoside inactivating enzymes. Kanamycin had complete cross resistance with streptomycin and neomycin, and partly with other aminoglycosides.
