Ampicillin Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium for Injection

Pharmacodynamic properties
  The results of biochemical studies on bacterial free cell system showed that sulbactam was the most important irreversible inhibitor of β - lactamases produced by penicillin resistant strains. Sulbactam showed significant antibacterial activity against Neisseria, Acinetobacter, Bacteroides, Moraxella catarrhalis and Pseudomonas cepacia. The results showed that sulbactam could effectively prevent the resistant bacteria from destroying penicillins and cephalosporins, and the combination of sulbactam sodium with penicillins and cephalosporins showed obvious synergistic effect. Because sulbactam can also bind to some penicillin binding proteins, some strains sensitive to β - lactam antibiotics alone become more sensitive to sulbactam compound preparations.
  The bactericidal component of the compound preparation is ampicillin. Like other benzylpenicillins, ampicillin plays a role by inhibiting the biosynthesis of cell wall mucins in sensitive bacteria during the active breeding period.
  Sulbactam sodium and ampicillin sodium for injection are effective against a variety of gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis (including penicillin resistant and some methicillin resistant strains); Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus faecalis and other streptococcus; Haemophilus influenzae and Haemophilus parainfluenzae (including β - lactamase positive and negative strains); carbamazepine for injection is effective against a variety of gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria Tamorrah; anaerobic bacteria, including fragile Bacteroides and related bacteria; Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, proteus (indole positive and negative strains), Morganella, Citrobacter, enterobacter, meningococci and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
